Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Last updated: July 21, 2026

1. Introduction

PiggyEgg respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We have written it in plain language, and we encourage you to read it in full. If you have questions after reading it, you can reach us using the contact details at the end of this page.

2. Who Is Responsible For Your Data (Data Controller)

PiggyEgg (piggyegg.com) is the data controller responsible for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at contactpiggyegg@gmail.com for any privacy-related question, or to exercise any of the rights listed below. PiggyEgg is an independent website and is not affiliated with Google or Vercel beyond using their services as described here.

3. Information We Collect

PiggyEgg does not require you to create an account to use any calculator. You can use every calculator on this site freely, without signing up and without providing any personal details. The information we do collect falls into a few categories:

  • Anonymous usage statistics, such as which pages and calculators are visited (only if you accept analytics cookies)
  • Device and browser information, such as browser type and screen size (only if you accept analytics cookies)
  • Your IP address, where applicable, which analytics services may use to estimate your general location before discarding it (only if you accept analytics cookies)
  • Your country and language, so we can show you relevant content
  • Your cookie consent choice itself, stored in your browser's local storage (see section 8)
  • Information you provide if you contact us, such as your email address and the contents of your message

The numbers you type into a calculator, such as your income, savings, debts, or mortgage details, are processed entirely in your own browser. They are never sent to our servers and are never stored by us, with or without your consent to anything else on this page.

4. How We Use Information

We use the information described above for the following purposes:

  • To improve our calculators and add new ones
  • To improve website performance and loading speed
  • To detect and fix errors
  • To analyze anonymous traffic patterns and understand how the site is used
  • To respond to support requests and questions sent through our contact page

We do not use this information to build advertising profiles about you, and we do not sell it.

5. Google Analytics

With your consent, PiggyEgg uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to collect anonymous usage data, such as page views, session duration, and general geographic region. Google Analytics does not collect the numbers you enter into a calculator, and IP addresses are anonymized before being stored. Google Analytics is implemented using Google Consent Mode v2: by default, before you make a choice, analytics storage is set to “denied,” and no Google Analytics script is even loaded until you explicitly accept it, either via “Accept All” or by enabling it specifically in Cookie Preferences. Categories we don't use, such as advertising storage and personalization, are always kept denied regardless of your analytics choice, since PiggyEgg has no advertising integration at all. You can review Google's own privacy practices in Google's Privacy Policy.

6. Vercel Analytics

With your consent, PiggyEgg uses Vercel Analytics (Vercel Inc.), a privacy-focused analytics service built into our hosting platform, to understand aggregate page views and site performance. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. Like Google Analytics, it only loads once you have explicitly accepted analytics cookies. You can review Vercel's practices in Vercel's Privacy Policy.

7. Cookies

PiggyEgg uses cookies that are necessary for the website to function correctly, and, only with your consent, cookies that help us understand aggregate usage through analytics. You can manage or change your choice at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer of every page, or through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect how parts of the site work. For a full breakdown of every cookie we use, see our Cookie Policy.

8. Local Storage

Separately from cookies, PiggyEgg stores one entry in your browser's local storage: your cookie consent choice itself (which categories you accepted or rejected, and when). This is what lets us remember your decision so the consent banner doesn't reappear on every visit. It stays on your device only, is never transmitted to our servers, and you can clear it at any time through your browser's site data settings, which will cause the consent banner to reappear on your next visit.

9. Third-Party Services

PiggyEgg currently uses the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics: anonymous usage analytics, loaded only after consent (see section 5).
  • Vercel Analytics: anonymous, cookie-less performance analytics, loaded only after consent (see section 6).
  • Vercel: our hosting provider. Every request to this website is served through Vercel's infrastructure, which necessarily processes your IP address to deliver the page to you, independent of any cookie consent choice (this is a standard, unavoidable part of how any website is delivered over the internet).
  • Google Search Console: used to monitor how Google's search engine indexes this site. Search Console does not run any script or set any cookie on piggyegg.com itself; it works entirely by reading publicly available information (like our sitemap) and Google's own search data.
  • Google Fonts: PiggyEgg's typography originates from Google Fonts, but the font files are downloaded once when the site is built and served directly from piggyegg.com's own servers. Your browser never contacts Google to load a font, so no data is shared with Google for this purpose.

We do not use any advertising or affiliate tracking service today. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and this list before any such service goes live.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we collect from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to keep the amount of information we collect to what is genuinely useful.

11. Data Retention

We do not operate our own database of visitor information. Data collected through Google Analytics is retained according to the retention period configured in our Google Analytics account (currently 14 months), after which it is automatically deleted by Google. Data collected through Vercel Analytics is retained according to Vercel's own standard retention practices. Your cookie consent choice, stored locally in your own browser, remains until you clear your browser data or make a different choice. Messages you send us through our contact page are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward for our own records, and are deleted or anonymized once no longer needed.

12. International Data Transfers

PiggyEgg is accessible worldwide, and the third-party services we use (Google Analytics, Vercel Analytics, Vercel hosting) may process data on servers located outside your own country, including in the United States. Where this involves transferring data out of the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, these providers rely on recognized safeguards such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your information. You can review each provider's own documentation (linked in sections 5 and 6) for more detail on how they handle international transfers.

13. Your Rights

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar data protection laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • The right to access the information we hold about you
  • The right to correct inaccurate information
  • The right to request deletion of your information
  • The right to restrict how we process your information
  • The right to object to certain processing of your information
  • The right to receive your information in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond to legitimate requests within a reasonable time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority at any time.

14. Children's Privacy

PiggyEgg is not intended for children under 13, and is not directed toward children under the age required by applicable privacy laws in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal and operational reasons. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page occasionally to stay informed.

16. Contact
